We are seeking a specialist within family medicine

  • Permanent position with a patient list of approximately 700 patients

What will a typical workday look like?

At the Snåsa medical office, you will become part of a friendly and professionally skilled team consisting of three general practitioners, one resident doctor and three nurses. Here, there is a high degree of collaboration and cooperation among the staff.

You will be responsible for approximately 700 patients with working hours from 08:00 to 15:30. In addition to work at the medical office, you will be involved in the on-call duty at the Steinkjer Inter-municipal Emergency Medical Service with 2-4 shifts per month. Some days may also involve participation in municipal tasks, such as visits to nursing homes in the municipality.

Time will be allocated for paperwork, and you will have autonomy over this time. The medical office practices collegial support during absences and vacations.

Qualifications:

  • Medical license and specialist approval from an EU country.
  • Specialist doctor within family medicine, preferably with minimum two years of experience.
  • Good communication skills in English, and motivated to learn Norwegian.
  • Class B driver’s license.
